The Foundation for Remembrance, Responsibility and the Future supports international projects with the aim of strengthening German and Polish mutual cooperation which was negatively affected under regimes of National Socialism. From the income of the 358 million Euro capital fund, the Foundation annually allocates 8 million Euro for projects which correspond to one of the three following priorities:

1. Meeting history - projects which uphold the memory of National Socialism and pass these teachings on to the young

2. Activities in the name of and in support of democracy and human rights - support international initiatives promoting democracy and human rights

3. Humanitarian aid for the victims of National Socialism regimes - international projects supporting those who suffered under National Socialism regimes
