The Foundation for Remembrance, Responsibility and the Future supports international projects with the aim of strengthening German and Polish mutual cooperation which was negatively affected under regimes of National Socialism. From the income of the 358 million Euro capital fund, the Foundation annually allocates 8 million Euro for projects which correspond to one of the three following priorities:
The Stefan Batory Foundation operates in support of the development of democracy and civil society – a society of people aware of their rights and obligations, engaged in matters of their local community, their country and the international community. The fundamental method of activity of the Foundation is the awarding of grants as part of the framework of dozens of grant programmes supporting core activities of non-government organizations.
memoria. was a programme initiated by the Foundation for Remembrance, Responsibility and the Future implemented together with the Borussia Foundation [1], Krzyżowa Foundation [2] and the Stefan Batory Foundation [3] from 2007-2009.
